Max permissible tyre size

Does anyone know what the maximum tyre size you can fit to a 7.5J and 8J 18' rim (the BMW 208M rim). Will I need to recalibrate the speedo?

I'm also looking to eventually replace these rims with the LCI 208M rims that come in 7.5J (215 40 18) & 8.5J (245 35 18) front and rear. Anyone looking to sell these?

Thanks

215 is the MAX that I would go, you COULD do 225 and still run it, but I see no reason why.

Just get new wheels and it will solve your problems.
