Looked at the sad pics again. That looks like Ascot Vale Road....tricky that bit. Lane is very wide, but not quite wide enough for two cars, and lots of traffic turning in and out.

Worsier then Tupac dying.

Cheers guys, I'm ok and everyone involved is ok which the important thing.
Van following car quite closely and me behind the van, front car brakes hard to do a right hand turn, van brakes late and hard, and we both take evasive action on the same side and hit. If I'm honest I was probably a tad close to the van myself, but it still pisses me off that someone else caused this mess, I'd feel happier if it were purely my own stuff up to cause the damage. Time for a quote from Mr. Gloss. Out of action for at least a month I suppose. A-pillare looked okay, the deformation in the front appeared to be intentional and that's what took out the radiator. Fingers cross it's back for the cruise. I wanted the bloody AA unit it by then though! Crap, and there goes my FI stage 2 detail as well.

Good news on the A-pillar side of things. Hopefully the airbags didn't deploy 'cause they can be expensive to replace too. But then why worry about that if the insurance is paying the bills? I guess it's a matter of "the less intervention, the better for your fit & finish." Many years ago, I rear-ended a Patrol in my Suzuki Swift GTI - it got repaired but was never the same again. I'm hoping that you have a better experience!
