Terracotta Question

What's the proper way to say "terracotta" ?

Is it "terra-coat-uh" or "terra-cot-uh"

"terra-coat-uh" in Italy. (Italians spell it Terra Cotta.)

"terra-cot-uh" in the US. (American and South American Indians spell it Terracotta.)
