Interesting thread, what is the current BMW finance guys ??

As the Aust. market continues to suffer under the current economic climate, prestige and normal car sales are suffering, as a result other makes have far better than what I've read above for BMW...

Lexus is at 0% finance for some of their range...

Mercedes are at 4.5% finance rate ATM...

I'm keeping an eye on financial reports which suggest home loan interest rates will drop to below 5% by the 2nd quarter of next year, so finance rates for new cars should be much lower as well by then.

There are also reports out of certain car makes which will cease production of some of their model range, because of the World economic crisis, they include the new BMW M3 CSL and Audi RS6.

I think it's fair to say that buying a new car early to mid next year should be noticeably cheaper than it is even ATM.

Well, my dealer told me the other day that BMW Aust had dropped their rates to 8.5% but then cargeek popped up and said he'd been offered(?) 8.25%. I'm now looking at a 2008 build 335 coupe that's on the dealer floor instead of a 135 but if I can't a decent deal then I dare say I won't get either the 335 or the 135 that's on order (but yet to be confirmed in Jan/Feb 09). Might pay to wait until the new year to see what happens to the interest rates.

Some of the low-rate finance offers can really have a sting in the tail, it can pay to look at the fine print.

That being said, I would have low low-8's to high-7's to be the go for finance at the moment.

Hi there Furo125i. I was lucky enough that there is a new vehicle on the lot, that is "ALMOST" exacyly what i want in the 135. The only difference is the interior which is the Black Leather and i was after the Coracl Red (White Ext', Coupe), also optioned pretty much exactly the way i wanted. It has ProNav and i was thinking BusNav, but the deal i am getting wipes out the difference there, so bargain.

BMW Finance is only .1% more. Also you have NO Setup Fees, Monthly Fees etc. A quick example, is on the wifes prev' car (Mazda SP23) we paid ex amount a month on a *shudders* 7yr term. On her new 120i which comes in at some $17k dearer and on a 5yr term we are $15 a mth better off (St.George had some shocking fees, hidden or not).

Yes there is the balloon, but we didnt even go the max balloon and am quite comfortable in saying in 5yrs, we will be very close to being in front.

Just confirmed my order today for a 335i coupe steptronic with BMW finance at 8.25% so pretty happy. Yeah coulda waited until next year but the deal on the 335 was pretty good whereas I was waiting until Feb to confirm my 135 order with delivery not expected until Apr or May - if I was lucky.

At last my car is arriving in Port Kembla on the 8/1 and have contacted my dealer and they offered 8.99%. What is the best rate at the moment? Got a quote from another company @ 7.7% but repayment were nearly the same - borrowing 40k with a 25% residual.

Any advice would be great! thanks

I remember BMW finance quote me 7.49% in a cooperate rate.
I heard that BMW finance structure the loan differently to other people. Is that true?

But I am a doctor and Medfin quote me (correction) 6.8%.

I went with BMW finance at 8.25%. Like a previous poster has mentioned, with BMW finance there is no monthly fees and no early repayment fees as well as you can pay additional money towards the loan without penalties.

Rate at the time to me was very competitive as other finance places offered higher rates or had lot of hidden fees and charges.

Go with BMW, and in future if you can find a better loan with lower interest rate, switch loans as there will be no penalties. :headbang:

Hmmmm... I wonder if I go for the BMW loan first year and refinance it the following year.

Some broker told me if you pay BMW loan off the first year. You get the best out of it.

But the repayment from Medfin and BMW I calculate the I pay is $20000+ with BMW but only $12000 with medfin. Although BMW quote has 35% residual but medfin has none........

My car is building so I have a lot of choices.
