No, I was all ready with my deposit and couldn't get it sorted before the eotfy. I'll look again at the end of the year.

Went in today to finish off paperwork. New guy handling my finance stuff. CC, i think, have tried to jimmy as much cash out of me as possible. Despite the car being a novated lease, they're trying to trick me into putting down a 20% deposit, on top of the 2k holding deposit i've already put on the car! My sales guy said not to worry about it, and the car will be ready on Wednesday. It's amazing - despite it being a novated lease, they've asked for a finance deposit, without the third party (my employer) knowing at all.
I flatly refused to give the deposit, and told them to put everything through on Monday. I nearly ended up hanging up on the Finance Manager when i was speaking to him later in the day on the phone. Not a good way to treat a new customer! Anyway, the car will be ready Wednesday, but Saturday will be delivery date as i work 8.30am-5.30pm.... |

They came back yesterday, saying BMW Finance wanted just over $4300 in advance payments for the first few months of the lease.
I told them definitely not, as this completely goes outside the point of a novated lease - payments are made pre-tax, and they're asking me to make them post-tax, and without the consent of the third party, which is my employer. Not only that, but the dealer submitted the application without any of the information i provided to them, and they can't locate that info (a letter of appointment and a previous employment contract). A couple of breaches of the Privacy Act there as well. But, the one thing that has pissed me off. I told the Business Manager that if this was the way they treat customers, it's quite possible i won't be a customer for much longer and he laughed - i hung up on him. |

^ from what you posted, this dealer sounds terrible... i can't believe he laughed at you when you expressed your concerns about the service provided.
best thing to do is get your car and be done with them. |

Have you considered raising the matter with BMW Australia? I'm sure they'd be interested to know.
