well the ends of the bottom were cut, but it just made it easier to apply. all said an done it was perfect fitment without stretching/shrinking anything but the angle on the tail lights.
here's a picture of the vinyls before they were put on. ![]()

finally took everyone's advice and dropped the homemade eyelids huh? the only thing i like is the tails (but i still wouldn't do it to my car), the 3rd brake light looks cheap and not good at all IMO and the vinyl eyelids look like you placed a strip of electrical tape across your headlights. do what you like but i'm gonna have to say

the little homemade eyelids were just for me.
like i said im going to have smoked blinkers soon so that will be gone. and btw, not everyone said to take it off. read the thread carefully people support the idea of it, plus its still in the process of testing. no need to personally attack me with it.

i'm not personally attacking you, i'm just posting my opinion. i've read the thread and you're finally getting some nice looking eyelids but even if you do come up with nice looking ones i don't think people on here will be jumping on them since vinyl looks cheap and plastic ones that flow with the hood look way better. but hey that's just my opinion, don't take it to the heart.

Rear tail lights look good from the pics. Not sure how good they would look up close. Head lights look like electrical tape, as other poster said. Not sure what everyone has against the look of the 1ers headlights, but I quite like them, IMO, they give the 1er a unique quality and the lids just try to make them look more like a 3.

I had vinyl overlays from bluebat on my 2000 celica back in the day. Only issue I ever had was that they shrank over time because of the sun and created a bunch of little cracks in my headlights. couldn't notice them from a distance, but you could see them clearly closeup.

I'm rolling on stock until I have the cash for some good, authentic wheels, either BBS or DPE. Really I don't have a huge problem with reps, but don't be rolling on fake CSL's and act like you're "above" vinyl eyelids and that plastic is the way to go. I've said it before-the only "real" eyelids are a boser and you're paying $1200+ for that.
