I'm trying to convince Tom to post some videos of this thing in action. I have one, but my car is still a month out.

I'm strangely excited abotu this... for my setup (my hu says professional, I thought I was told it was HI-FI) is this just a matter of plopping the box in the trunk, running the ipod wire and the mic to the front, a flash by dealer and done?
Also, does the bt or ipod stuff have to have stereo set to cd changer? Or is it a REAL native setup. What exactly are they flashing? Turning on bt and cd changer? or is there an actual ipod feature to turn on in coding? Also not to be stupid, but theres not a way to get the ipod only version then buy the bt features seperate is there? I gotta figure out a way to sneak this purchase under the wifes nose. |

Here is a quick run through on how this work. This is a 3 series, but will work similar:
Professional CD (non I-Drive) STEP 1: Under "Audio", select "CDC" (cd changer) ![]() STEP 2: This screen will look exactly the same as if you had a cd in the cd changer. You can set up playlists, using your radio preset buttons here. Select "List" to take you to your typical iPod menu. ![]() STEP 3: Once you have selected "list" you will see your standard iPod menu, showing "Artist/playlist/albums/podcasts etc etc". I selected "Artist" ![]() STEP 4: Once you are in the "Artist" menu, you can browse using the right knob on your stereo, just like you would with an iPod. ![]() STEP 5: Select an artist to listen to. ![]() Step 6: Select a song to listen to. ![]() ![]()

Is a dealer likely charge for this service?

they absolutely do... I think mine charges a couple hundred for an hr of programming... (at least thats what I recall them telling me when I inquired about installing the alarm myself and having them code)

Nice!!
Much better than buying the factory bluetooth, and ending up w/the horrible service of BMW Assist.

BT question
EAS folks:
I have the 09 E90 LCI with the new i-Drive, 6FL, 620 (voice) and 609 (Nav) options. I want BT. You mentioned the dealer can activate the bluetooth MULF which I think it is already installed/integrated with the 6FL option. I like the mObridge and will choose it in a heart beat if it fully integrates with the new i-Drive/CIC, but I'm reluctant to do it because of the built-in BT functionality of the 6FL option that is disabled. What is your opinion, do I honestly need the mObridge or is there a way to activate the BT with the 6FL option? Will the mObridge work with the new i-Drive/CIC and code properly with Vehicle Options? Thanks, Jim |

o Does this do anything to your warranty?
o Will it work with the new 09 iDrive? o Will it work with iPhone with the latest software? o Can we get some shots of installation? o Where does this box go?

This will not void your BMW's warranty.
mObridge is not compatible with 09+ (CiC) iDrive systems at this time. mObridge is fully compatible with the iPhone with full charging support. Kit is installed behind the factory radio or glovebox, whichever is easier for your installer.
