New Houston-area 135i owner saying hi - BMW 1 Series Coupe Forum / 1 Series Convertible Forum (1M / tii / 135i / 128i / Coupe / Cabrio / Hatchback) (BMW E82 E88 128i 130i 135i)

Hey everyone, I've been stalking this forum for a while. Although at the beginning of the month I put down a deposit on a 2010 135i. It's space grey metallic with black leatherette interior. As fas as options go it has the M Sport package, as well as nav, premium sound, and the iPod USB adapter.I am supposed to take delivery a few days before thanksgiving. This is the first car I've bought on my own and the waiting kills me every day. This will also be the first car with a manual I've owned, so I've been practicing as much as I can. So if you see a SGM 135 stalled in the river oaks area then it's probably me.

Just wanted to check in with the local crowd and introduce myself.

Welcome man and congrats on the purchase. The 135 is my first stick too and like you I had to practice for awhile before the car arrived. The only thing you may have to get used to is the 1st to 2nd change cuz its a bit notchy. See you around.

welcome..its gonna be a blast to own and drive..the hardest part is trying to get good mpg as you will want to be spooling the whole time

..and im in the galleria area as well..we should org a 1er meet in this area sometime

Just giving you guys an update. I sent my dealer an email today asking him not to drill holes in the front bumper and he said no problem

Also he said the car should be in Houston between the 17th and 19th of this month.

Considering I ordered it on October 6th I would say it's been a quick process.

2 weeks and counting.....

Congrats. You won't be disapointed. Must just be luck, but I still never see other 1ers out on the road, still get tons of looks from everybody else, and still get plenty of guys that want to race (all of them idiots by the way).

i also have a SGM 135i! and im in the river oaks/upper kirby area. by wholefoods... more specifically kirby and westheimer. what about you?

I'm on kirby between inwood and san felipe, so yea just a few blocks down the street.

haha, i suppose i should clarify. I'm 22 and im living with my folks at the moment, im currently in school but i took the fall semester off to work and find a new focus for my studies. However by the end of the year ill have moved into an apartment with some friends. So yea, i suppose my parents live in a nice part of town, but it sure ain't my house.
