howdy, So I've got a set of these that I've been waiting to install. I'm looking for some guidance however on how to do this. I've picked up the following tape:

http://www.scotchbrand.com/wps/porta...glBBR07XLQTGbl

should I apply the tape to the back of the painted surface?
should I apply the tape to the back of the CF overlay?

What if I line everthing up and am off a bit, I won't be able to align it.

For those that have done this, I appreciate the tips.

To be honest, that tape is way too thick.

My mirrors came with really think double sided tape, I believe it was from 3M. Not sure on the specs but it was a lot thinner than what you have there.

As far as install. I made sure to put enough tape along all of the edges of the mirror. I also put a significant amount on the center of the mirror for a nice secure fitment. Before you peel the adhesive off and stick the cover on there. Try a test fit just to be sure. Good luck! Hope you enjoy the CF covers as much as I do!
