In any case, the shroud probably is a fake. The C14 dating showed the shroud to be about 700 years old, and the religious community has never given conclusive scientific evidence as to why the shroud dates to the middle ages. Of course this by no means proves that the whole resurrection thing was false. All this means is that the shroud is a fake.

Why is shroud an important evidence? Faith is belief without and a lot of times in spite of evidence. You got your scripture man...what more do you need?

The Shroud has been found to be from the 1300s, with 95% confidence using a split-split plot experimental design (which is quite robust). Unless they're being sensationalists.
