Genuine BMW Performance Seats (made by Recaro) -- 56K BEWARE!!
These are the real deal, genuine article, guys. Genuine BMW "Performance" Sport Recaro seats as offered in the European BMW Performance Parts catalog, starting in 2008. These seats were never brought to the US, and as such are very hard to come by. They are made by Recaro, for BMW to their spec and are easily identified as authentic by the presence of the side airbags, matching BMW alcantara suede, and "BMW Performance" stitched in the headrests. The seats are manual (non-power), are lighter than the standard sport or M seats, and have seat heaters installed. They recline, and are designed to be used in 2-door cars which require the seats be reclined for access to the back seat (though they could be mounted in a 4 door). These would look incredible on an E92 M3 or 335i, and would completely set your BMW apart. The custom white/black Schroth harnesses shown are included with the seats. These are specifically made for the 1 series coupe. They were configured by HMS Motorsport, who are the experts in Schroth and all other safety gear. I have these listed on Flea-bay right now. The reserve on these is very low compared to any other sets I've ever seen for sale. PM, and I can share the low reserve price with you. Auction can be found here: http://item.ebay.com/260623696284 Ok, on to the the best part.... the pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm sure there will be lots of questions on these. So feel free to PM me and I'll answer your questions as soon as possible, and as detailed as possible. Thanks! |

4.5k is just the buy it now if someone wants to end the auction early. The reserve price is much much lower. They certainly aren't inexpensive, that is for sure, but are quite rare and special.

I just threw one on a floor scale for giggles and they were 47 lbs each side. Certainly not as light as a real racing shell seat, but definitely much lighter than stock seats. Hope that helps.

If I were to spend that kind of coin I would spend it on RB turbos. My car would love me more with 500rwhp than cool seats

Like others, I think these are very cool, but I can't justify the price; particularly when the stock sports seats are so good...
Good luck with them! ianc

Radorotrex, I hope no one has to see the bags "work", as in have them deploy. :-)
Of the handful of people who have these seats, I'm aware of at least one who has successfully integrated all the electronics to function as desired. These seats come in their unmodified original "Euro" intended configuration. So the airbags are not "plug and play" on US models. |

Only 2 days left, reserve has been met, so these are going to sell. Bidding has cooled off, so there's still a chance to own these for less than the cost from BMW (with the harnesses included as a bonus).
Let me know if there's any questions.... anything at all. |

Wow over 3K for used seats on a 35K car. Very nice, but wow.

Actually the winning bidder is putting them in his E92 M3, so more like a 60k+ car. These definitely aren't the type of "accessory" everyone can or wants to afford.
