You insert your VIN number in the Cargo Tracking ID field. Status on BMW site says Enroute. Hope you can locate it.

Hi there...I can track the position of the Tamerlane Cargo Ship now since it is close to docking in Baltimore. She docks at 6am on Monday, June 28th!

Too bad I will have to wait til the 22nd for performance delivery.

I think that the wait is worse now that I know the actual date.

My dealership never gave me the Vin # yet... All they tell me is that my car will be in NY on July 5th and & the dealership July 8th.

Bad luck on my part I called last week to get the vin # and I never got a call back. Actually,my mom called the next day and they told her all the info I posted above. I'm stuck working late past business hours everyday and can't get free to call them (I just want a VIN #). I just need to call a few times everyday! I guess that's what it takes.

Jim, I never got the VIN number from the dealership because I got it from a representative on the 800 number. Just ask for it. Then go to the W&W site that is referenced on this thread and input your VIN in the cargo tracking field on the site.

Update.....my car should arrive the dealership any day now....in fact, I can no longer track it online. I have to wait an extra day for window tint and I think the alarm system. Have a good 4th everyone!

It is here! I went by the dealership today and drove around just to see if my car could have made it in and it was there! Salesman did not call me as they still need to have the nav programmed and mudflaps installed. So, Tuesday, July 6th I get it!

Will post more photos after I take possession.

So to recap....Ordered on May 29, Production date was June 8, Boarded ship on June 15, debarked in Baltimore on June 28, take possession on July 6. Not too bad.

I pick it up after work on Tuesday. Did you notice the tinted windows? They had them tinted already. I don't know how much work I will get done on Tuesday. I will post pictures in the CSM gallery and here as well. Have a great 4th!

I picked up my new car yesterday and after spending a couple of hours learning all about it from my SA, I took it out for a spin. I read all the posts of breaking in the car and have been following the guidelines. I have a 128i and since I turned in a 328i back to the dealership, I am in love with the tightness of this car. The iDrive is a must and hope that you all will consider it. I also got BMW
Assist with Concierge Service too. Today I had the stock market quotes on my dash and was able to access my email. Still have lots to discover with all of the settings but I am smiling all the time driving this car! I will post pictures later but here is another I took in front of the house. CMS is a great color...tonight around dusk, the car actually looked more silver than gold.

Follow-up report. 1 week with having my car, I am enjoying the driving experience and finding the car to be very responsive! I would encourage those who are looking at this model to consider the 128i as well as the 135i. I test drove both and find that I didn't need the extra power and (speeding tickets). :-) iDrive is amazing and I am doing everything handsfree. I now look at those using cellphones as only the way it used to be for me and hope they will discover bluetooth handsfree too. Enjoy!
