Never thought I'd say this...but
I decided to give my 135i a break last night because i was gonna be parking in a not so good area of town. So I decided to take the family 03 G35 out instead.
The biggest difference was getting in and putting my hands on the steering wheel, it felt super thin! haha, was so weird. Next was the difference in low end torque, you have to rev up the G35 a little before it has some grunt whereas the 135i you have the power almost immediately when you step on it. The 2 cars sound so different, both are equally pleasing to the ears. Never thought I'd say this...but last night was the first time the G35 didnt feel "fast" and give me the throw you in your seat feel. The first gen G35 have 260hp and 260tq in comparison and is a bit heavier. It was still a blast to drive and redline it a few times since I'm still breaking in the 135i. Sort of a useless post, but im bored at work, haha. Lets hear you car comparison stories |

the G35 is a good car for the price, I had an 03 G35 also. Best I ever got out of mine was 14.51 @ 97.98 mph.

Funny story I was driving last night to a bar with my GF and a G35 pulls up to us on a stop light and rev's at me. I look over and it's two young punks. So it turns green and he takes off. I just go about my way.
We make it to the next light and he's sitting there and my GF say's your not gonna let that happen again are you? as he's reving again. Light turns green, two car lenghts ahead and the next light and he doesn't even look in our direction. Just thought it was a wierd coincedence you posted this. |

I really enjoy driving it too, love how the engine screams as the revs get higher. Very tossable car. Good car all around except for some electrical issues we have had. Was always a treat to drive it since I used to drive a 06 civic with 140hp haha.

Heh. I drive a 135i, and my girlfriend drives a Jetta 2.5. Talk about a night and day difference.

Thats one thing I noticed right away also is the steering wheel.. alot more meat on them and the feed back and muscle you have to put in to turn it makes it seem more engaged.. was driving my friends Accord today and man I can turn the wheel with 1 finger..

I tried G37 and M37. Kind disappointed with both. I guess people like only 370Z. However I really liked GS350, and GS450 should pair with 135i
