Look at the power numbers from the other ports compared to ours, and also look at the individual things the ports for other cars can do compared to ours. The one they have for the 135i makes the most power with the most perks. Also, prob more difficult of a flash due to our more difficult to mess with ECU

Not every car's ECU is the same obviously, more computing, more work, more labor all mean more money

I call BS. Based on what map/tune is used, there could be more or less power to play with. My last experimental car was a 2010 Mazdaspeed3; my buddy had an AP on his 2009 speed3 and that thing was a rocket. The "greater" power gains you see on this engine are due to 2 extra cylinders and larger displacement, as well as 2 turbo's on an n54. Subaru's, Mazdaspeed's, and Evo's are all turbocharged 4-bangers.

The more power is pretty much given for the BMW but attaining it is a different story, the BMW ECU is a much hard safer to crack...

Are there still chances of tuner codes being thrown? And if so would we need to get another tool such as the BT scanner to clear them?

Will the stage 2 be a completely new purchase, new free downloaded map or upgrade pricing?

I saw in another thread that I can't find now that there was an issue back when with the AP storing some sort of code in the ecu that the dealer could find...is that an issue here? (sorry if this was answered elsewhere, but I couldn't find it and its important).

Thanks. This solution looks awesome.
As far as I know the AP is a set price, the maps after that are part of your original purchase. Correct me if I'm wrong...

Any chance of getting some additional ECU coding functionality? I'm thinking similar functionality similar to Audi VAG-COM. I'm not sure how many of these are programmable via OBD or CAN, but figured I might as well ask. Things that come to mind are:
sunroof/mirror folding/window up/down from keyfob (some function seems to be disabled on some comfort access models, not sure if it's an ECU thing)
Convertible roof up/down without SmartTop module
TV on nav (although doubt it's possible)
Seatbelt chime disable

Found a thread where someone seemed to have success doing this here.

Considering there some hardware modules that accomplish this at a cost, the ability to do some of these would make people happier in dropping nearly a grand knowing they're getting more out of the product than the other available tunes out there. My $.02. Looking forward to N55 numbers! Considering purchasing one (if it's out yet) to bring with me for my ED

There was a small mixup in the office today, AccessTUNER is not yet available. My sincere apologies. It will be available very soon.

Hello,

Initially we are only supporting the USDM spec cars. This may change in the future.

That mean that I can't use the AccessPort in my Europe 135i N54 (Spain)?
What are the problems if I use it?

Yes Sir, we have released the GT-R AccessPORT to the world market. I'm stoked with the excitement for our the product, but we're not quite ready for releasing outside of the US with BMW.

The AccessPORT will likely read out your ROM contents which can be sent to us. However we are not ready to add support for the non-USDM BMWs.

Rob

Where do Australian N54s fit in? Are they a separate spec again? When can we expect support for Australian spec 135i's?

I assume I could just drive over to your Plano location and have it installed?

+1 on that discount.
