Thumbs up Help me build her out..2008 128i

Ok..

Some things I want to do to her now that I have her home.

I figure better to rely on your experiences and recommendations for the following items. Several caviats..

1. I Don't need to spend a TON of money on wheels right now, want nice aggressive look, dont need to spend 2K for wheels.

2. Angel eyes- Whos best whats the cost, and easiest to self-install, I don't care who's retinas I burn out when I'm behind them

3. Side Skirts-There was a GB somewhere for 10 sets I was looking at and now I cant find it...would like to get in on that if you think it will even out the looks.

Here is what I want to START...

Wider looking stance, aggressive looking stance done with wheel and tire combo.

Any other "starter" appearance Mods to keep me happy till I can learn more in depth about coil overs, rolling fenders, performance packages, boost etc.

If you can include linkw replies it would make it alot easier since this searching for 128i stuff is pretty new to me...and then theres the whole 135 stuff fits the 128 stuff

Many thnaks to anyone who has the time and kindness to assist me with this starting off point..

Suggestions?

There are may used sets of 18" 264 wheels with tires in the For Sale forum. Start there. In my opinion the Performance skirts with the standard 128 bumpers will look odd. Do the wheels and a slight drop, maybe Eibach springs.

You might want to try asking in the Cosmetic Modifications (exterior / interior) forum, too. Have fun

Umm...good thought...but yeah I really want a nice daily driver thats easy on the eyes...I honestly don't see me getting to far intot he performance mod arean, OR if ID do it would be down the road a ways...working on my track bikes takes first priority

Thanks and true from what I have seen thus far it would look odd witht the standard bumperas, my plan was to do those as well, cosmetic like I said, Im not opposed ot bumpers to make it look like it should...after all I wouldnt want to embarrass you fine people

Very nice! Mine is Montego, it's a brighter blue as pointed out. What packages did your car come with?

I have your wheels as my winter wheels!

I would go for KW Coil overs first, very happy with mine. Then do a BMW Performance exhaust. If you want to see the results of these, come down to Alexandria sometime.

Ok so an out and out question...

In order to get that agressive stance the BMW's are known for and that you guys and gals have managed to acheive, what is the PREFERRED action..

I dont know about offsets except I get the concept....

Im looking at wheels all over the place and I need to know what size wheels and what size, if any, on the off-sets if necessary.

I think maybe once I have this guidance I can narrow down what "the look" of the wheels will be..

Let me know and thanks!

Ok so heres my list of ideas so far...

1. The Alpine Angel Eyes-seems good rpice and people like them.
2. 3D front bumper
3. 3D rear
4. Wheels & Tires-Undetermined
5. Bluetooth Integration kit_Subscribed to another thread waiting on details
6. Tint-Done yesterday

I am trying NOT to get into lowering the car or rolling the fenders just yet, I want to get my track bikes done and maybe over the winter I can project her out and get coil overs, rolled fenders etc, but I want to get at least half way improved on the looks as soon as I can...

Ah ok, they don't make products for the non-m sport bumpers so it'll be a double expense. You'd need to buy the m-sport then the 3D stuff too. Now we're talking $$$
