Going to see Matt @ TNT this week, thinking 35% for lemans blue with black interior, will post up some pics. Last time I went to driven dynamics, no complaints, trying out TNT based on all the recs here.

he has done both my M cars. Dot Matrix turned out good as well.

^what he said. It's off S Pickett/Cameron Station in Alexandria. Kinda tucked away on the very end of the row, near the Midas. Google map it to get a better understanding.

Around $180-200. I called him last year and got a quote of $180, but ended up paying $200 about 2 months ago. Think the bump in price may be because he brought on another guy to help out, or b/c mine was illegal, or he squeezed me in last minute

Was worth it either way. I'd just give him a call to find out. Easy guy to talk to/work with and does a quality job.

I know he has Huper Optik ceramic, but that will run you a lot more than $200. I'll have to check when I get home about the "basic" stuff he uses, but there's a life time guarantee against fading/bubbles/etc. It's all hand cut too.

Not sure on the exact %s he has, but I'm sure he pretty much has everything. I walked in and said 20 and off he went. He has rolls of film all over the place.

Wow... There is a TNT in Sterling as well, but I called them for a quote and I was not impressed... I told him I worked at BMW of Sterling and the guy said he'd give me a discount by taking off the price of the tax. My quote came out to $230 if I remember correctly. I ended up getting the guy who does the cars here at our dealership to do my car for $180. I guess they don't all operate the same.

Did you go to LA Tint in Sterling? I didn't think/know he had another shop out there, only in Alexandria. That price sounds more in line with LA as they run a little more.

I forgot to check the brand, but it's charcoal and he carries a lifetime guarantee. I have no experience with getting tint at a dealership, so I can't really comment on the quality or price. But I would assume, like everything, they'll charge you more at the dealership (unless you're K and have a hook up). May be worth it to ask? I know Matt at TNT has been in the area for several years and has done tints for most of the law enforcement agencies and athletes around VA/DC, and has a very good reputation in the area.

K - do you work out at BMW Sterling? How is the quality of the dealership tint job? And how much does it run for Joe off the street?

Yes, I work at BMW of Sterling. It's good quality tint (lifetime warranty encluded), but not sure what they normally charge. I work IT here, so I don't usually deal with customers and pricing. It's outsourced to a guy that does it from "The Tint Shop." It was really convenient for me too, because he just came by while I was at work, took my car to his shop, and came back with it a couple hours later when it was done. I didn't have to go anywhere.
