I like how it works, just not the smell, but I subtly don't like it. I should send y'all some auto finesse spritz. I'm also like a bomb sniffing dog though and completely hypersensitive to smell.

Actually, here we go...fixed it for y'all. We need more cockpit premium.

No! I use it regularly!

Just got caught up on the thread -- great stuff going on!

Took my longest trip to date in the IS from NJ down to Hatteras on the OBX, heading back tomorrow. Then mid July I'm driving it down to FL, its final destination as I pick up my new (old) E46 as detailed a few pages back.

The e82 was good on the long trip - much improved gas mileage (high 20s, low 30s). Had to jack up the lumbar support, which isn't unheard of for a long trip. It's a little more tiring than the more "refined" E46, in my opinion.

I will really miss the lumbar and side bolster adjustable features on this car.

I'll probably take it in for a scheduled service before heading to FL. Hopefully they'll replace the front pads, as they're really low (21 k miles -- wonder how that happened )

I did that OBX trip a few years back when I had my FJ, and did it really early spring so I ended up driving -on- the beaches. It was fantastic, but the water was COLD. Love Hatteras Island. The light houses are awesome too

My Performance Suspension Has Arrived!

Woohoo! Just got word my performance suspension parts have arrived at the dealer a couple days early, though alas, it's going to have to sit there for a week or so until my wheel locks come in and HP Autowerks comes back from taking ED of their new M3. Hopefully I can get everything put on right before or right after July 4.

Wow. That was fast! Too bad you have to deal w/ the wheel-lock BS. Let us know when you schedule the install.

I got mine after a couple of months and so I check my coolant every 3-4 months as it seems to need a little topping off from time to time (though the light hasn't come on since). The dealer should top it off for you, assuming you don't have a leak, but I'd recommend buying the gallon jug from them and a thing of distilled water and keep it handy and check it from time to time. I have no leak that I can see, did the cardboard under the car test for a week afterwards, saw nothing, but it seems that the N55 likes to drink the cool aid...I mean coolant.

Appologies for bumping this in the 135is thread...but I think I may be experiencing this. Every so often (not every time) When taking off from first I've experienced something similar where there is a hesitation, almost like its about to stall and cut power then it takes off shortly after... Scared the shit out of me the first time it happened. I have a service appointment booked for next week. What can I tell the tech to make sure its fixed. Just say " im pretty sure its the clutch delay valve... " It seems every time I drop my car off the techs are never able to reproduce any of the issues or rattles that I have. I want to make sure its sorted out.

Have you done the CDV delete "mod?" I have a DCT so am not familiar with it, but I know many 6MT people on here say that it's a must do mod, as well as a clutch stop, too. Check the forums for that, it may solve your issue.

That means you can't in the meantime enjoy them by unpacking, inspecting, fondling, etc.

Hope HP Autowerks can slot you in for the install ASAP. Can't wait to hear your review!

I got the low coolant message at 5000 miles last winter during a subzero morning. Took it to the dealer and they only added about 10-12 oz of coolant, and probably spilled just as much in the engine bay. I bought a gallon of the BMW coolant and mixed it up 50/50 with distilled water so I don't need to go back to the dealer for top-offs. I added another 6-8oz a month or so ago at 8000 miles.

I'm not entirely convinced the system is being topped off correctly following the installation of the supplemental radiator at port. It's a closed system, so I'm surprised it could use 20oz of coolant in 9 months/8000 miles.

I have not touched the CDV because I'm worried about the warranty. I could get a clutch stop but that wont address the hesitation, or will it?

When I bought my 135is last year I asked a couple of people at Tucson BMW about the CDV thing and installing an LSD. They said both of those mods would mess up warranty claims. So I have a spare differential in my garage that never got the LSD treatment and am living with the slow clutch action,
Still a fun drive .

What Rain Man is Rolling in Today

Thought I'd share two fun tidbits. Since apparently I've turned into uber OCD/Rain Man, just rented this beauty which I am rolling in today. And just for IEDEI, the frickin steering wheel and gearshift feel so dirty/sticky, I think I'll use some cockpit premium on it. It's good enough for a Hyundai Accent. =P Ironically, I drove a white accent for 3 weeks awaiting my car's delivery. We've come full circle.

Why did you rent this today? I must have missed something...or is this while they fix your wheel locks? That is quite the aero screamer while parked.

Trust me, you don't want to know. Let's just say I have severe mental issues and am trying to both limit the miles on my car until I have a proper set of working wheel locks in case I have a flat and moreso for my OCD in wanting a certain range on my odometer after I get the new suspension for my oil change and alignment. Driving out about 50-60 miles today, so felt better renting a turd. A turd with SiriusXM in it though. I'm having deja vu to April 2013 and the white one I had for weeks.

I displayed my car for the first time at a car show this morning. I'm not really a car show kinda guy....but I have to admit it was fun seeing people admiring the 1er......that's my friend's E28 M5 next to it.

Just detailed the beast. It was in desperate need of a thorough cleaning and waxing. I sprayed the Eisenpuke all over the interior and it's like brand new again. You guys are crazy about that stuff. It smells fine!

Uh....okay. I won't ask about the range anxiety.

I'm with IEDEI -- spray everything and I bet it will still smell better than when you got it! In fact, they'll probably thank you too....
