HAHAHA!! You were already thinking about it before I said anything...

I've been looking into it for a week or so and have shipping quote from Ev@Tischer and was about to buy but wasn't going to say anything until I had them installed...

Does anyone know that part number for the RHD kit?

Just checking, does anyone has any solution for this yet ? Been asking some vendors but no one is sure if US specced 1M mirrors will work on a RHD...

US Spec mirrors will not work. The motors are wrong (passenger side dips when in reverse) and the glass is wrong (Convex bit on the driver's mirror is on the wrong side)

Apparently the mirrors and motors are specific to the housings on each side as well so you can't even get part of the kit from the US (Housings).

The only LHD bit that's compatible is the cover.

None of the UK vendors bothered to respond to my post in their regional forum.

I'm gonna bite the bullet and get them locally sooner or later..

Thanks for sharing. Sigh, for RHD and from where we are located it's either an issue with shipping fees or fitment when it comes to sourcing mods for our cars...

Found a potential solution for us RHD guys that costs below $1,000. With auto dip and folding functions.

Got the part numbers from realoem :
http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...93&hg=51&fg=95

Scheidmann has all parts with pricing on their website :
http://www.schmiedmann.com/51-16-8-0...uctnumber.aspx

That is just the mirror isn't??

We still need the housing since the motor would be on the wrong side for the auto dip.

Yep, the link to schmeidmann is for the mirror only. For the other parts, you'll need to select the part numbers (depending on whether you want auto-dip or folding functions) from the realoem link and key them in one by one on the schmeidmann webiste.

Non-auto dip and non-folding works out to be around US$550+ while full optioned parts total just under US$1,000. Good deal IMO.

By the way, does anyone know if my mirrors currently come with auto-dip and folding functions that I can install the M-Mirrors WITHOUT the functions ? Reason is I dont really need those functions.

You don't appear to be able to get them without Heating.

MIRROR GLAS, HEATED, WIDE-ANGLE, LEFT 51-16-8-041-951 291.33
MIRROR GLAS, HEATED, WIDE-ANGLE, RIGHT 51-16-8-041-951 291.33

Dipping ones are a bit more expensive...

Also, I missed 1 item off the list... Have updated it...

Stage 1. Thanks to a very generous Brisbane-Based-Alpine-White-1M-Owner I now have a set of brand new, never used 1M Mirror caps. Just have to order the rest of the bits...
