^^^^ i think that goes to show that it has no performance issues with it ... if it was a back pressure enhancement then the performance would have had it too. Turbo vehicles usually benefit from freer flowing exhausts!!! cat-back and all

Exactly, back-pressure arguments are retarded when it comes to turbo cars. Especially cars running high boost. When that turbo is hitting max boost, you want your exhaust to be as open as possible. Its not like an N/A car.

^^^ You will have people argue that this is why it open at higher revs .... which is true but still not an issue with turbo cars .... I think this is mainly an German thing ... some audi are running the same setup AKA S4 and RS4(which has a mechanical sport mode that makes the exhaust tone deeper!)

Nothing. People with 335's have been doing this for ages. Sounds great. And is an inexpensive mod to make your car sound meaner at the lower rpm, until you get a real aftermarket exhaust.

alright cool, I just inserted a golf tee in the hose and moved it out of the way, ive been going crazy looking for a plug for the actuator, but i guess you don't need one. Dont really notice that much of a difference though, sometimes i do fee like it does sound a little bit louder

Just unplug it, kink the hose and zip-tip it kinked. Very easy. Much easier then trying to plug it with a Marble or such.

I was thinking about pluggin it up with a ballbearing so if I do take it in for service or if they HAPPEN to check it it would be very discreet.

Just one more question, people have made it clear that i do not need to plug the actuator in order for the golf tee to work, all you have to do is plug the hose ( i used a golf tee ). So my question is, why do you plug the actuator? is it just for looks, or to prevent something from happening. BTW this mod works good. The car does not really sound any louder to me after a couple of days. But while driving back from boston i happen to noticed when taking off the exhaust notes were a lot deeper and throatier.

I had a golf tee in my car a while back and took it out when went to the dealer just to be safe, and since then I never put the gold tee back on because I didn't noticed much of a difference, today I decided to re instal the golf tee cause I was a little bored but before I did the golf tee I got a flash light and looked at my flapper inside the exhaust and to my surprise it was already open it seems like my car is stuck in permanent golf tee mode? My hose line is fine and there are no kinks. car was running by the way. When is flapper suppose to be closed?

The mod was no longer on my car so I'm guessing once you do the golf tee it's permenant?
