Not sure why they told you that Johnny!
Interesting comment re the cabin creaking. I drove an MY08 135 with 45K km and it had this awful creak coming out from behind the passenger airbag/glovebox area where the dashboard meets the A pillar. Like crackng plastic. It as enough to make me not want the car.

Was this the sound you had RaihaX?

A month for an international car company to get fuel injectors? I don't think so.

Yeah mine only creaks during rough surface and I only noticed it once I got my coil over, due to the stiffer ride I presume.

Exactly, that's what I said to them when I picked up my car last week. They said it will take approx a month to get the injectors and other "bits and pieces" in.

But the fact that Ray got he's done there's no reason why mine wasn't replaced. I'm going in tomorrow morning to give them some

This service campaign is for N54 engines which were produced from 2nd April 2007 to the end of 31st October 2008. There is no warranty period for this .. ie you can take an affected vehicle to BMW at any time and they will honour the campaign (if your vehicle is affected).

Note the period when the engine as built may be different to when your car was finished, complianced or first registered. The only way they can tell is by opening up the covers and checking the part numbers.

Best to have this checked by your written request at your next visit to your BMW dealership (even if you do not get any service work done other than this check).

The injectors were also unavailable at the time I had my injectors looked at. The parts were also ex-Germany, but arrived today (5 days later). I'll be dropping my car off on Monday for an HPFP re-program and injector change.

I'll report back with how many get replaced...

I had four replaced. I also had my HPFP reprogrammed- yet it long cranked and misfired the very next morning so I took it straight back. They eventually got BMW to authorise a new HPFP so that got replaced yesterday so a sigh of relief- for now.

Not a single warning light during this whole process.... hmm....

Yup! Running much better than before it seems! LOL, dunno if it's placebo or if it really was my pump dying.

Interestingly, when I unlock the car, you can here a mechanical noise hum for about 10 seconds which I assuming is the new style pump where it primes the lines etc. before you start...

mine seems to run a lot stronger with new hpfp and injectors

and you are correct the hpfp primes when you unlock the car.

I think that noise is the low pressure fuel pump priming the feed to the HPFP when you unlock the door.
