I'd say that 1Ms will be trading at $85k within six months-- and there's nothing wrong with that. Its been almost two years since I bought my car and I paid $109k new. Why should I expect more than $85k for it now?!

Most of us who bought early paid around that money iirc. We only paid $112 in August last year to pick up Vader, our AW car was $110. As I said before some people are dreamers trying to make a profit out of their cars after 12 months.

Speculators were not counting on BMW selling 200 1Ms in Aus.
Pardon my ignorance but what was the last BMW model that made any money for speculators? The transaction costs would eat most "profits" no? |

Given our tax system for the automotive industry, ie LCT, GST, STAMP DUTY et al, it is very hard to make money out of any car on resale. You always loose that money, someone else has to pay more tax if they are buying your "used" car...... Again. Take tax out of the equation and they (1Ms) are doing really well. |

If you are going to speculate / gamble - Better off speculating on heritage numeric plates IMH and biased O
No gst or stamp issues. But on these you definitely make your future profit when u buy. |

Most of the early buyers got the car for list. I got a little lucky because the sales rep miscalculated the price by something like $1,000 or $1,5000 and when they discovered his boss said they would honour the quoted price.

Has anyone found a car they would rather own (Ferrari 458 is the exception) but seriously for $$$ what would you rather have?
