I actually prefer the leather one... I'd like one with a flat bottom but I don't want the alcantara...

That's some pretty serious low-balling there mate...

Brisbane BMW charge $213 for a set.

It is, but hardly anyone will be buying them as the cars came with it. I guess I'll just wait for someone that's willing to let them go for those prices. Thanks anyways!

All good... Just seems like I'd be better off keeping them as spares at that price...

I feel the same way. I think if I changed the wheel I'd eventually end up replacing the other interior bits to alcantara too... more $$$

Richard, do you still have this Steering Wheel available? I know it's for a manual but do you think it would be possible to separate the "ring" from the "hub"?

If so, and the leather is in good nick then I'll probably take it. I can MacGyver my Hub/Trim/Paddles/Electronics/Airbag onto your ring (that sounds rude when I read it back to myself) and then I won't have to buy a brand new wheel just to satisfy my OCD

Just thought I'd point out because there are a couple of people on this forum (myself included) partial to a bit of carbon fibre. Came across these on special from European Auto Source . . .

Carbon Fiber Seat Latch Trim Coverplate Set - E82/8 1-Series, E92 3-Series & M3

Usually $275 - REDUCED TO $50

http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...92-3-series-m3

Carbon Fiber Seat Outer Bolster Trim Set - E82/8 1-Series, E92 3-Series & M3

Usually $395 - REDUCED TO $50

http://www.europeanautosource.com/pr...92-3-series-m3

Both are $50 for the pair of pieces - Shipping via USPS was $60. Not bad . . .

Wow this is a great find!

I'm tempted but these only come in 1x1 weave and all my other carbon bits are 2x2

I just noticed this too.

I think it's missing the pre-dilled holes for lumbar support.

Note: These pieces are not pre-drilled for the seat control buttons. Some modification with be required for installation.

I think I might give it a go as well. It's a really good price!
