Aw that sucks but are you lowered or is the ground clearance that much worse now with the lip?

When the lip is mounted, you should not be able to see that. The focus of every lip is the front piece. The bottom and the back should not be where you point out all the defects.
I have the 1M slek lip and it was about as above. I got 1x1 and now I want to get 2x2 |

ya I know, I was just a little disappointed because there was so much emphasis on the quality and the fact that its built in the USA instead of China...but overall I don't want to sound negative its VERY nice it just caught me off guard.

You are not going to see that once mounted.
That is where the carbon cut lines are. in order to get the weave correct in the front, the carbon needs to be cut in the back so it wont stretch the front. |

Lets just say I am amazed at SleK's durability on this piece. You get what you pay for.
I have probably already scraped 10+ times and once it was extremely bad at a spot where a friend with a E9x Carbon Lip basically ruined it and you could see spider cracks all over. But the SleK lip held up extremely well. I'm sure the underside looks a bit bad but it didn't go through all the way to the top like it did on my friends. It really shows how much more durable SleK's lip is compared to other carbon fiber manufacturers, because the visible portion of my lip still looks as good as new. I am lowered though with KW V2's. Also for those that keep asking about the hood, I'm tired of the PM's so here is an official teaser! http://www.1addicts.com/forums/showt...5#post10874875 Last edited by cooler2442; 11-27-2011 at 02:50 AM.. |

Because looking at the competitor's lips, they don't even give you carbon where it won't be shown. To me that seems like a testament of the quality that SleK is providing by giving carbon at the places where it won't even be seen. Example: Revo Sport 1M Lip. They don't even give you carbon on the part of the lip where it won't be seen. Last edited by cooler2442; 11-27-2011 at 05:21 AM.. |

By the way cooler2442 I don't want you to take my reply the wrong way I'm not attacking you. It's just that you don't have to defend them all the time, we get it, they make good stuff.

I just thought it was a good point when you brought up carbon on the end that isn't even visible and then I thought about the Revo sport lip after seeing pictures of it where they had no carbon on the not visible end. So thought I would post that in response to you since you brought it up. |
