I never had any luck entering the VIN, either. Your CA should be able to tell you which boat your car is on. From there, try:
http://www.vesseltracker.com/app http://marinetraffic.com/ais/ You'll have to sign up for an account with vesseltracker. It's free. Good luck!

So, My 135i was completed and has been at port waiting a shipping vessel. My CA told me that it was on a ship yesterday, but did not leave yet. I got the vin # and cannot get it to pull up on W&W site? Hoping that it is just delayed.
I am taking Performance Delivery, so I am curious to know which port it would come to in the states for this? I would think Charleston, but my CA said Jersey? As of now I am just trying to find possile ships that are headed this way. Hopefully only 3 more weeks...... |

I ordered my 135i on 8/11, and was told the factory would be closed for most of the rest of the month. I called the 1-800 number this morning and the rep told me it was showing 'Scheduled for Production', but hasnt been updated since 8/23, or 3 wks ago! If it hasnt been updated, is that usually an indication that its status hasnt changed, or does it just mean it hasnt been updated so we really dont know the current status?
When I ordered, my dealer told me Id certainly have the new 135i by the end of October. Based on that time frame, I sold my current ride to a buyer with an early November delivery date, figuring the time frame my dealer gave me would make this pretty 'safe'. But its been over a month since I ordered, and if it still hasnt started production yet, i fear im not going to make the date.. Any way to speed this up? Alot depends on what a lack of a status change over 3 wks means, as mentioned above.. I dont want to lose this sale! nervous in ct....

I ordered my 135 on 8/21 so just over three weeks ago. I got my production number on 8/23 so that was my last update as well. I just called in to BMW NA and the automated system transferred me to a rep. They stated it went in to daily production scheduling 5 mins ago (I assume this is status 112) but there is no schedule production date yet. So hopefully yours is in the same boat (pun intended?) mine is with production status. Especially since mine is AW as well and I'm told they group by country and color in the production line. |

just wondering if anyone knows how to track a BMW coming to Canada? I called BMW Canada with my VIN # but they told me that once it's finished production they can't see anything else

Quick question for you all....
I have been tracking my 135i via the website and the Production Number. It just finished production yesterday (). I'd like to track the vessel, etc, etc but was wondering if I needed the VIN to do this? Can you track your car after it has finished production with only a Production Number? Should I be contacting my CA to get the VIN? Thanks in advance for the insight!

Ok, I placed my order with 5K deposit in late March early April with my local dealer for their singular allotment for a 1M. To date they cannot provide me with a production number, and say there is nothing they can do to get one. Am I getting jerked around?

Make sure your pricing sheet has all the right details and confirm them with your dealer and ask whether they reconfigured an existing build. Hopefully your story is the same as mine. |

That's a drag. It does seem to take forever. My car took twice as long to "find a boat" once it was waiting at the port as it did to actually build. I'm suspecting once it reaches the US, it will again sit around waiting for a truck and transport. But then you read about the people who ordered months ago, and are still waiting for a slot in the production queue. Could be worse.

Ouch! On the other hand, I wouldn't have minded a one week additional delay on my car's production. It would have made it a sept build, getting me free Bluetooth. But 2.5 months? No thanks!

My order went in on 8/30 and I just called BMW and it will finish production on 10/1. Hopefully it won't take too long to get on a ship and over to NY.
Think it'll get here by halloween? That'd be a nice trick or treat! |
