I did not find the DIY, but doesn't look that difficult. Below is a vid to remove the cover...you can view many 3M Di Noc vids on Youtube regarding the proper install of the CF wrap.

Mine is carbon wrapped, to my knowledge no matter what material you wrap it with you won't get that "glossy" look from the CF mirror caps because they have the clearcoat on top ?

Unfortunately I don't have anything up close But it's a different look than the with the clear coat, if you want something to match like a CF diffuser or CF spoiler, go with the CF mirror covers I got mine wrapped for free while my roof was done, so yea...
