First 4 days with my AW 135i! First impressions..
Well. I made it 4 days with her! I must say we've gotten along perfect
I made it through a tank of gas already - 230 miles @ 18mpg.. I'm happy with that number considering how heavy my foot was these 4 days. It'll definitely creep up to 22-25. It was a $51 fill up. The car is a blast.. I usually enjoy every throw of a shift lever in any car but nothing I've driven feels as perfect as this transmission. The way it springs out of gear with such life and precision is awesome.. The sounds that come out of her are still surprising me, exhaust notes, boost sounds, it's all music to my ears! I'm also 6'4 and fit perfect with room to spare. I am slender though. As you can see, she's already flithy and one trip on the parkway down to the beach rounded up what seems like hundreds of bugs. The amount of brake dust is pretty bad too. She'll be getting washed this weekend for sure. Just wanted to give my 'first impressions'.. I'm sure you've all been through this many times / for a long time.. but I figured I'd share mine! |

Congrats on choosing AW, its the way to go! And get used to the break dust, ive never driven a car that throws off so much, so quickly. A minor issue compared to the enjoyment youll get from the car, however.

I am now one week into my ownership of my 2012 135i MSport.
After a string of BMWs, I finally have a car I really enjoy a lot. I do believe that I prefer it to my 2009 M3 Sedan, a very neat car BUT the lightness and low end torque of the 135i is much more fun around town. I know that some dislike the looks of the 135i but, I think it is an aggresive looking and appealing car. My only negative might be the "value" factor, in that a 1er is not an inexpensive car - but then neither are Porsches..!!
