Wife can't decide in 128i cabrio colors.

She is thinking Blue Water with Taupe Leather, grey poplar trim and the black top. Nobody has color swatches of these for her to look at so it's just a guess at this point.

Any other combos go good with Blue Water? Wanna keep the interior a light color for sun/heat reflection.

If you are getting leather it has the sun reflective coating so a dark colour should not be such a big deal.
As with the coupe, SGM really picks up the lines of the Cabrio nicely. If you go on to the German site you can configure the Cabrio in any colour.

Yes, but why? There are colors on the German site that are not available in the USA. I think the Blue Water is a very pretty color and I saw it on an X3 - maybe a 2005 or 2006 - was on the used car lot.

Blue Water looks good with

Beige or gray leather. Have seen both combinations on X3 and e39 5 series.

I think that is a very good combo with that body color. My wife is pushing for red with black interior but I don't think she is getting it.

Lemon!!! :happy anim:
:headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang::headbang:

Ahem... I'll have pics April 5th if you haven't ordered by then.

Beige, or taupe would look fine, and I think grey would too.

For that exterior color, you have your perfect combination already picked out. While the leather treatment helps a dark interior with the sun's heat, it can only do so within limits and the lighter interior coupled with the reflective leather treatment is even better. In addition to the comfort, the look is perfect for a convertible. I've had many convertibles, as I live in California. Stay with the Taupe interior, Poplar trim, and the Black top... absolutely best convertible choice!

I have the 135i convertible ordered in Crimson Red with the Taupe Leather interior, Poplar trim, and the Black softtop. It finished production yesterday!!

Tagman, I know this is off topic but when did you order and how long have you had your production number? You are the first person I have come across that has ordered a 135 Cabrio so I'm trying to get an idea of how far away I am from build. I think this is the first week of 135 Cabrio builds

Go with a Light Interior for sure

I have an e36 convertible that is Artic Silver/2-tone Dark/Dove grey. The seats are Dove Grey which is a very light color. This color has worked well for us.

As for Blue Water metallic, it's a soft color. I'd try seeing it with a couple different interiors to make sure I'm getting the best match because it has the potential make for a really good looking 1 series.

I want to know more about where you ordered your 135i convertible. Really surprising as it is not loaded on BMW website.

I got lucky... The dealer let me place their first 135i cabrio order. I already have a VIN and the car was completed this week. I have been told that it could take about 45 days from this point until I take delivery.

The BMWUSA website does not include the convertible yet, but the dealers have full information on their computers now.

I think I will have one of the very first 135i convertibles. I really feel lucky!

I ordered my 135 Cabrio at the end of January, two days after the pricing and specs came in to the dealer. It is supposed to be a week 12 build so hopefully next week. Delivery is scheduled for the end of April.

Good chance it's been built this week. Yeah... end of April is the ETA.

Looks like we're on the same track... very cool!! The rear seat legroom in the convertible is 0.7" less than in the coupe, but well worth the open-air experience. I hope you get enough nice weather in Vancouver to really enjoy it.

I'm going out on a limb a little with the Crimson Red, but I think it will make for one "red-hot" convertible. Damn, I hope so!!

Trust me, the top will drop whenever possible. We get the same weather as Seattle, so not as nice as Cali but not bad.

Hey Roo, I would suggest you visit the "regional" forums on the main forums menu page. Choose "USA - California", then choose Southern California Dealerships, and you'll be able to chat with others that can answer your local concerns.
