2008 135i vert KW V1's installed
I managed to get a pretty good deal through the forums for a set of slightly used KW V1's that I couldn't pass up. The kit was for the coupe and I compared parts and the only difference were the rear springs. I decided to roll the dice and get the kit installed last week.
Everything works pretty good but even at the highest setting the car is pretty low! Found out I have a bad ball joint as well so getting that swapped next week and then an alignment. The ride is noticeably firmer than stock but not punishing. I can't believe I'm not rubbing in the rear. My offsets are pretty aggressive out back and the winter tires have square sidewalls. I swear I fit them by 1-2mm, phew! My summer tires are Eagle F1 V2 with a pretty tapered sidewall on SF-71's. Can't wait to get them mounted! The winter really did a number on our roads this year we'll see how the summer goes and how long I keep the setup for. The car looks great IMO, it would be a shame to have to go back to stock. Here are some pics I snapped of her in Winter mode, including some photo bombs by my daughter GO JETS GO!

kw coilovers for cabrio has stiffer rear springs.
cabrio: http://docs.kwsuspension.de/ga-STGFw...2223-08-N2.pdf Wire size: 14.6 mm coupe http://docs.kwsuspension.de/ga-STGFw-20039_1046-10.pdf Wire size: 13.75 mm many years ago we had similar situation, with using thinner kw springs (on front) on my mate's corsa. we had swaying on road waves on 60+ mph, springs were too soft. with correct springs we had no swaying at all. |

I'm not getting that sensation but may buy the cabrio springs just to get me a few mm height.

I'd find a longer, heavier rate rear spring just to keep the rear end from bottoming out. The rear suspension on these cars are pretty simple, you could always just have a pair of springs made by swift for like $250 for the rear pair.

One is a battery tender and the other is a 250 watt oil pan heater. It gets pretty cold in the winter here! In the summer they get tucked back under the hood
