I used to live in NYC so I can take a ballpark guess. If you have a clean record my guess is about $1500-$1800 a year through Geico for your 325. But it will be cheaper if you don't live in NYC. You can always just price it out on Geico online just to see what you'll have to pay, there's no need to start a policy and you can just fill in dummy information to get a quote (just make sure you fill in the stuff that matters: age, city, driving record.... the stuff that will affect how much your insurance is). Let me know if I guessed right |

Mwatson,
I think Admiral offer great prices, I'm 21 and have been quoted around a £1k for my 320d SE. This was over half the price Direct Line quoted, although they did not ask for a tracker - I guess it depends on your location. |

Minimum Rate: $ 1805.80 (6 months) Regular Rate: $1882.90 (6 months) Premium Rate: $2030.20 (6 months) They didn't have 2006 325 as an option, but I guess it wouldn't matter that much. The rate will come down a bit with certain features of the car, like anti-lock breaks, alarm, etc. At any rate, looks like 280 bucks a month. Last edited by usernamenone; 06-01-2005 at 09:53 PM.. |

I'm at about $1400/yr for my 325 and a Dodge Durango. 32 and married. Erie Insurance and full coverage on both. Holding off til fall for an e90, 330, and possibly a 325 or an X3 so not sure how much it will go up.

So I was getting pretty disappointed with the rates I was finding initially. I am 21, clean record, and I'd be insuring in the Seattle, WA area.
I was quoted over $1500 for 6 months for 50/100/50 coverage by Liberty Mutual and AAA. Geico did pretty good at $1150 for 6 months. Then I spoke to AllState today and boy was I happy I did that! I was quoted $769 for 6 months of coverage same as above after a good student discount. I was floored and ecstatic. I just wanted to share these results in case anybody was facing similar high rates from others in that area. Not to mention all the cool new benefits of AllState's "Your Choice" insurance coverage, including replacing your new car with a new car rather than book value during the first year and additional 5% discounts every 6 months you go without an accident. You can find more info about this new program at allstate.com. I guess their advertising is correct, maybe you CAN love your auto insurance Well, at least not despise it

Armen52, wow you hit the jackpot with allstate, and you're only 21! I wish I had that kind of luck. I shopped around a lot but Geico seemed the lowest. You know, come to think of it, back when I was shopping, I tried to get a quote from allstate, but something was wrong with their online quote page at the time. The site said it was temporarily down. Too bad...I should have waited until it was back up instead of jumping right in. Of course, you said you have a clean record, and Geico was drilling me about a "failure to stop for red signal" that happened like 4 years ago. Anyway, your looks like the best I've seen so far for our age range.

Thanks! I was quite surprised and and am very happy with it. Hopefully the quote is still good in a month when (if) I get my car (that's another story).
Well, I didn't like doing the quotes online because I couldn't ask questions to ensure I was getting the lowest possible quotes from people. Therefore I called to get most of my quotes.

My best quote is £645 from Bell Direct (part of Norwich Union) for a 330i SE with tracker and 3 yrs no claims (I'm 27). This is by far the best quote I have received compared to the other leading insurers. I was always going to have tracker fitted for my own piece of mind.
