My 330i was delivered last Tuesday 3/28. Today, as I was waiting for an Abulance to pass an intersection, THIS MORON IN A JIMMY REAR ENDS ME !! HE RUINED MY BUMPER AND BENT MY TRUNK !! I am beside myself...

Ouch!
Hope you're okay - it's just a bumper, it can be replaced... at least keep telling yourself that I know your pain personally, our car was rear-ended last week; a nice little hit and run while it was parked overnight... Get the M-Sport Aero kit as a replacement if they have to replace your bumper. Try and make something good come of it.

Sorry about your accident. I hope there were no injuries. There are way too many bad drivers in this area. In fact, my car was just recently damaged while it was parked.
The same day I noticed the damage, I was driving north on the West Side Hightway where this guy in a minivan starts to gradually slow down in the far left lane. It was if he just took his foot off of the gas and wanted to coast to a stop. I was in the middle lane when I see him suddenly slam on the brakes (it looked like his rear bumper went straight up about 2 feet!!!). Then he takes a sharp right turn into my lane and starts driving at 5 mph PERPENDICULAR to traffic!!!! All three lanes have to come to an immediate stop. I was able stop in time, but all the time I am hoping the car behind me has brakes as good as a BMW. This guy just keeps creeping across the lanes while about 30 horns are blaring. Then he just stops when he reaches the right side of the street, but since he is perpendicular to traffic in a minivan he is blocking the right lane and half of the middle lane. I have seen some strange things in this city, but that one takes the cake!

Wow, I just realized that you're the same person that posted the pics of the shiny black 330i parked on the street in NYC.
Those were such nice pictures. As far as the body work goes, I'm sure BMW Manhattan has thier body work done through an outside shop. I took my car to get inspected through a GEICO approved shop. When I got there, I saw that 90% of the cars being worked on were BMW's. It turns out that they do all of the body work for Park Ave BMW (NJ). In the end, I took it back to Prestige BMW (NJ) where I purchased my car. I would check out your dealer and then as a comparison check out a place recommended by your insurance and try to get a feel for which one is better.

I definitely feel you! I had the same thing done to me in Vermont two weeks ago. I thought all I needed was a new bummer , but when I got home I washed all of the salt on my car , and found two scratches one my taillight , and the other on my deck lid.
