They are not under rated from factory, US dynos are optimistic.

I think the loss goes up to 20-25% for an automatic car...but do not think that makes them slower because from what I have seen automatic cars have been doing some insane quarter mile times at the drag strip.

They are doing slight brake stands, starting in 2nd gear, shifting at around 6500 and pulling 11's.
Click on the link in my sig for the drag racing leaderboard. You don't just rip off an 11 second pass in a stock automatic 135 :-)

But yeah it is far easier to get an 11 second ET in a bleeder compared to a manual tranny.

But on a serious note. If you run all bolt ons (intake, exhaust, Dps, FMIC, and Procede V5 with the New DIC beta at 16 psi with no meth they made over 410whp. You will make 450whp with that setup with meth. All im missing is the new beta and meth and ill be there.

When did I say anything about the automatics pulling 11's were stock...lol definitely not. I was just saying do not assume they are slow due to the extra loss.

The auto's pulling 11's are highly modified.

Read my Sig...I think I am at 450+hp (not at wheels). I dont think you can run 450rwhp and use it as a daily driver. The engine was not made to handle that much power and you could damage tranny, clutch, drive train parts in you run too much power without upgrading other key components.

For daily driving purposes the car will hold up decently at those power levels. I had an FBO 135i that I daily drove for over 30k in that state. Granted that during daily driving I'm pretty gentle on the clutch.

Once you start doing other stuff is the issue, doing repeated hard launches at that power level you run the risk of popping the half shafts or frying the clutch, but the tranny will still hold up. A bunch of guys over on E90post have managed to do that at the strip pretty easily.

These enignes and transmissions are strong. The only thing that is holding these cars from high HP levels like 600+ is the fuel system, which will be availible very soon Hush Hush . Also the turbos are shit. Mitsubishi to03. Garbage. 450whp on these cars is very possilbe on stock turbos but they won't last forever.
