Sometimes you have to be bold enough to walk out a door in order to open another. I'm all for it. Nice car, and stable you have there. Thank you for sharing!

Well done! You made money on that car and can use it to mod this one. BTW, I enjoyed my short visit to Abu Dhabi years ago, when I was in the navy. I recall seeing tons of baller cars with "V-12" emblems.

oh yeah, its cheap. I dont really know the exact amount per gallon cuz its soo cheap , but lets say this for example, to fill up a v8 Range Rover with 98 Octane, it will cost you around $30, I fill up my Beetle not more than 20 bucks.

Abudhabi is a great place to make money, and its wer all the real UAE Ballers are from, not Dubai.

V12 was the 'ish back in the day.

welcome to the 1er world, brother. you should be proud of your ride, whether it's an alpina or an aspire. it needs to reflect your personality and passion, not your wallet. that's what this ride is for me. all the compliments in the world or envious looks (which make me uncomfortable, by the way) do not make up for the pleasure and satisfaction i get when i drive this car. it is an extension of who i am, not who i think i want to be. small, but mighty. aggressive, yet refined. subtle, yet capable. precise.
enjoy it, friend -- and don't look back with regret if it feels like the one.

Something about it just smacks of grand standing.

While I'm glad someone can do it in this world in which we live, is it necessary or is it a cultural thing I don't understand?

Then again, for what it's worth, I think you made the right choice.

IMO you made a mistake posting that. The OP did not flaunt the fact that he had money. He is into cars and most likely has the money/income to support it. I would bet there are posters on this forum that earn well into the six digits and some with seven digit annual incomes. Heck, there is a 1 addict’s poster with a nice expensive Ferrari I saw a picture of. Then there are people on this forum that can’t go out to dinner even once a month since they stretched there budget so thin to buy the 1 series. Who cares, we are all car/ 1 series enthusiasts.

BTW OP Nice Alpina B3 and enjoy the 135i. Keep us posted as to your mods.

Ok. You are entitled to your opinion.

I just call it the way I see it.

As I noted, it may not be the way the OP meant it, and if that's the case then so be it.

However, again, no disrespect to the OP but is there any legitimate reason to have a list of every car you own in your sig? It's behavior of this sort that has turned me off from every premium car forum I've ever been a part of. I find it ostentatious, unnecessary and a real turn off. E46fanatics is a perfect example of this behavior.

To the OP, you seem like a good guy so please don't take what I've said here as a slight against you. It just happened to be the current example.

Anyways, I'll end the hijack here. Like I said, I hesitated to post initially.

If anyone wishes to continue the conversation, take it to IM's please. I won't respond here on this topic again.

If i think the way u think then its the same if i put all my options of my 135 in my sig like some do here.

Its called being happy, being a car enthusiast, a hobby, maybe a collector. But maybe the way u see it is that anyone with this kind of sig is showing off ( this is what i understood from ur posts ). No bro, dont take it that way. Plus this is sometimes good to see what other cars do the owners here have other than the 1.
