AR downpipes

Hi guys, just wondering, is our downpipes similar to the N54 335I? and also, is it ok to install a 2yr old used AR downpipe into our car from the 335i?

Your thoughts appreciated!

Yes

I'd consider buying new gaskets though, exhaust leaks suck

I would buy new gaskets for sure...

And make sure you check over everything, too.

It took me about 3 hours on a lift, with help, to get my DP's in. Take your time and double check the fitment...

Just normal gaskets or do we have to get the AR downpipes?

AR offers one of the best gaskets available. In addition, they are ID matched to the AR DP's so there is no restriction.

I have fmic from ETS + intake dual cones from AFE + the above mentioned mods + Evoworks charge pipe w/ BOV

and a evolve stage 3 remap ... monstous torque and pull

third gear @140 Km/h foot down and it'll light up the traction light

for my case no cel lights came up

hey guys, just installed the AR downpipes. there seem to be quite noticable power loss at low end. high end doesn't really pull v well as well. is that because i haven't input the stage 3 tuning?

Probably, do you see a cel?

You also may be experiencing an exhaust leak.

You should notice an increase instead of a loss of power....
What i heard is that catless downpipes should be combined with a engine tune which may explain your problem. Good luck with the hunt for HP & Torque

thank you! well i guess the car needed a few days to run in i guess. hahas had a drag race with my friend's M3 (which i always do whenever i or him do something new to the car) and he said that in 3rd gear, 1M walked over him.

But comparing with another 1M in sg with full akra (downpipes + EVO), at idle my car seems softer... normal? or due to the fact that our downpipes are bigger=less compact/bassy sound?
