opinion on Bridgestone RE-11
Tire time again. Currently have PS2's on car. Only complaints are cost and tread longevity. Looking for any opinions on Bridgestone RE-11's vs the PS2's.

I have RE-11's and they grip very well, I'm very impressed with them. In the wet they are a different story though. I've put about 6k on them but I don't think they are very economical as I can see a bit more wear than I would have liked. I do drive very hard though. I purchased Yokohoma S drives for my E46 recently and the tread looks great. I think they will be my next choice for my 135i. No complaints about the RE-11 but if you want something economical and cheap I would get something else.

Thanks. I am much more concerned about cornering than cost. Have gone through set of Sumitomo HTR Z3's a good value for the money, but at best 3/4 the grip of the PS2's. With my driving style I got 10,000ish miles from the Sumitomo vs. 5,000ish on the PS2's. Any opinion on what the RE-11's would do mileage wise.

An E46 330ci was killing everyone at last years Oktoberfest(it was between him and a Porsche Boxster S for the best times) with some RE-11's...you could tell by how well he was holding the corners. I would go for them in a heartbeat...

RE-11's will wear quicker than PS2's but will also grip and corner better.

I feel like the RE-11's were designed with performance in mind above all other things. They grip so well and it inspires confidence. It's also shown me how crappy the stock suspension is because I push the car harder so KW V2's are my next mod. I don't think the RE-11's will last very long that's why I purchased 2 sets from Tirerack. I've put 6,000km's on mine and only 2,000km's on my other set. My RFT tyres were completely gone by 15,000km's. I expect no more than 18,000km for these if I'm lucky. I didn't look after my RFT's very well.
