Meisterschaft because it just sounds better, IMHO

I'm partial to the cp-e (obviously... see sig for details ). Mind you, it was released before the Meisterschaft; however, if I had to make the decision all over again, it'd be the same one.
I'm not a fan of the major bends in the Meisterschaft. A cat-back system doesn't make a huge amount of power to begin with and by adding unnecessary bends, you're taking away from functional design. That and I personally feel that the cp-e has the best sound on the market (obviously this is all a matter of opinion). Good luck making your decision!

I just ordered the CP-E with catless downpipes yesterday. I will hopefully have it all installed either this weekend or sometime next week...depending on when it gets in. i liked the way CP-E sounded.. i was going back and forth between the two also

My vote goes to CP-E but then again I'm a little partial to it since I'm running their catback with resonators.
The vids are nice but I think it's a tough call without hearing them in person both in and out of the car.

I'm only knowledgeable about the CP-E, but I can tell you it is a VERY high-quality system. I have the catted turbo-back with resonators. The sound in my opinion is perfect. It isn't loud enough to attract the cops if you're gentle with the throttle, but when you get on it, the sound is pure exotic and very racy. WOT would likely attract the cops, esp. in the higher revs.
The vids I posted on you-tube were within the first week of installing the system. The exhaust had settled in and quieted down quite a bit more than when those vids were taken. Here's the links if you haven't seen them.

My vote goes to Meisterschaft. I've been enjoying mine since day one. Be sure to get a mid-pipe with either option.
BTW, the vids on youtube are my car. |

I want to see more of the Magnaflow. The one video available seems comparable to these 2 too. CPE gets my vote for the thread.

Meisterschaft FTW!!! Magnaflow sounds good too, but when i made a thread about it, the person who did the proto said it was a little bit quiet. Comparable is the gravity autosports(check commercial sales section) that sounds really good. Personally, I am waiting for that system to come out before I decide.

Hey everyone! Long time listener, first time caller. The CP-E does sound good, but I also have to say that the Meisterschaft is the most intoxicating exhaust I have heard so far. Your car sounds awesome. I keep watching those videos over and over. I picked up my 135 back in April and this is the first car I have really done any mods to. It is very addicting. But being new to the mod game I often have noobish questions. Wondering why you mention it is a must to get the mid-pipes too and not just the axle-back? Is that purely a performance gainer or does that much of the sound get added with the mid-pipes? I was under the impression a cat-back really won't gain any noticable power. My interests are the same as the OP's so was wondering if a compromise to just get the Meisterscaft axle-back would sound like your videos and still save a heafty chunck of change too. Not trying to jack the thread here, but any additional input would be great. And I'll try to get some pics posted sometime soon since that's what seems to make people happy around here. |
