HI guys, i am a new 1m owner! sorry for being one photo first, as i post any photo from my iphone login, i have to use my pc and i have to mail my pic on my phone to my pc, which is seriously annoying.
i will post up more tomorrow.

This is my 4th M car, from E46m3---e92m3----e46m3csl(still here)----and 1m.
So i got my 1M today, drove 140km with 50km mountain road. will post pictures tomorrow, as it is in my gf's camera. the car is good in overall performance, power, handling, boot space, 4people, value for money, nice interior with idrive, driving pleasure. so overall it is a really good daily drive car.

it is actually my first own turbo car, i do feel the turbo lag espically when i apply throttle slowly, the power is not so linear. but the low end torque is good for daily drive. so manual is fine, comparing to my GT3RS the manual is killing, i always need to go into 2nd gear in street driving.
I have owned the CSL for 6years now, so i think i should be classified for a genuine write up.
Compaing to the CSL, honeslty it is completely 2 different car, i have pilot supersport on my CSL, so they both have same tyres on it. in terms of power, the CSL is much more responsive, more senstitive throttle, and the power comes quicker and revs faster, but at low end the CSL feel no way as good as the 1m, the torque makes 1m feel faster at low end. in terms of braking, it is unfair, because i have RS29 pads on CSL with brake cooling pipe. so no comparison. in terms of steering, honestly i think it is about the same, they are both very sharp and resposive. in terms of handling, i didnt push the 1m too hard today, because it was raining a bit and i wasnt that used to the car yet. body roll, the csl stands much firmer with nearly no body roll, and when entering corners the CSL feels much more grip/sticking to the ground, where the 1m feels like it wants to move its tail.(may be my tyre are not run fully run in yet). in terms of sound, the CSL (stock exhaust) sounds gorgeous with the huge intake noise, it sounds like f1 cars honestly with the sport button on, where the 1m doesnt sound that nice, it doesnt sound as nice as my previous e92m3 (both stock) in terms of overall driving pleasure, the 1m is much more quite, more comfortable (at least the seats are), more low end torque for daily drive, its got idrive with nav, it is a more civilize car but i do enjoy playing with the turbo. where the CSL, it is more noisy, there are very little heat and sound prove, so after driving for a while you will feel the engine heat and gear box heat, you can hear all the stone hitting your wheel arch, it is more stiff, the CSL feels much more raw when you drive it, it feels more of a race car, it feels firmer, it makes want to drive faster. finally i think they both are really good cars, but the CSL is more hardcore feels sharper it is more like a TOY, the 1m feels more daily drive with speed and value for money, i personally love both of them, but for the time being i will like the 1m more at least it is new.
thanks for reading for anyone who is interest in these 2 nice cars from bmw.

He should clarify himself of course but I don't see the certain aero/design elements that appeared only on 4.0 in this photo so my bet it is not a 4.0.

Great shots! I have an S54 powered M-car (2002 Roadster) which is a de-tuned version of the CSL motor. It has such a great sound and performance.

I'm going to be in HK the weekend of May 23rd. I was going to PM some of you guys and see if there was an event planned.

You have the perfect 2 car stable imo! Alone, I would prefer the Z3 M Coupe but as an addition to 1M which is already a coupe, a 2002 model (last and best year, with DSC and the S54) M Roadster may just be the best companion I can think of.

Nice collection of cars. Welcome to the 1M scene.

I noticed your 1M's inner exhaust tips are spotless compared to the outer tips. We have seen pics of 1M in China showing quad pipes on some 1Ms are not really quad, but just twin, wonder if this is an asian market emission control thing?

Enjoy your Ms.
