Thanks for the add to the forum. Just picked this up on Thursday. Loving it so far. Only has 49,000 miles. My first BMW. Purchased from BMW of San Diego.

Congratulations! My wife's 2013 is the same color outside as yours (different interior). My 2009 is white with a grey interior. We both have windscreens - highly recommended. I added a backup camera to mine. That back window is really small and the blind spots are large - but not if the top is down. We both love our little 1s.

Doing the rear headrest lowering mod makes a big difference in this regard. When I first bought my '13, the view out the rear window was like looking down a long tunnel. Did the mod so the rear headrests can lower fully and it expands the view by a significant amount. Not sure if this affects your '09. I seem to recall the stop to prevent the headrests lowering all the way was a change (to N America 1's only) starting with, I think, MY 2010. Don't have the link to the lowering mod, but search on this forum and you should be able to find it easily enough. The only difficulty I had was being unable to release the rear seat bottom to remove it, but, turned out I was able to access the lower seat back bolts any way allowing me to remove the seat back and remove the headrest stops. Well worth while. |

Anyone have access to a wiring diagram for this model? I'd like to understand how the valet switch in the glove box is wired. Mine is non-functional.
