Audio mystery
My radio quit today for no reason. Temporarily. I use ipod via aux cable. I had to run a few things around town today, it was a hot one, 100F. After I got in the car, I couldnt get the ipod to play again, no sound. The track plays but without sound. The odd thing is that I couldnt select the radio to try to rule out the possibility of a bad aux cable. The radio immediately jumped back to aux mode. I made it home, parked in the garage, left the car alone for about ten minutes. Tried again, everything works as usual. Odd! Have anybody else experienced something similar?

Don't have my 135 yet, but my '04 545i with iDrive will occassionally do something similar - turn it on and for no apparent reason have no audio (and a blank iDrive screen). Trying the reboot procedure doesn't usually do anything and it'll generally take a shutdown and wait period. Then it will generally come back and not do it again for some time (might do it once every few months). Dealer has no idea why it does it and, of course, there's no way to replicate it, either. Mmmm...computers...
