135i Rear Bumper Question (ASAP)
Should I go flat black or gloss black for the diffuser? I feel as if gloss black draws all the attention downward when looking at the back of the car while flat black is more subtle and you can enjoy the entire rear bumper. My exhaust tips are that flat silver color.
I was thinking along the lines of flat black. Opinions? Current Mods: CF Spoiler CF Mirror Caps Performance Grills Shadowline Trim

Gloss is nice with a nice exhaust. I would go matte with the stock system.

I'd go gloss and paint your tips! Just pull them off and use some heat resistant paint. I'm gonna do that soon enough, or just get an exhaust..

Since you have a CF spoiler and mirror caps, I say get a CF diffuser for continuity. It'll be more expensive, of course, but it will probably help tie your mods together.

I'm sure either way would look good. It will look best to paint it to tie into the rest of your mods though. I have chosen to keep it the stock color because my rims are a pretty similar color. Although I'm with you on the carbon fiber diffuser, it's just too expensive for what it is. I'm in a similar situation as you where I am in my early 20's and spending 1200 on the diffuser just doesn't seem logical.

Can somebody give me an idea of what it costs to get the stock diffuser painted?

Thanks for all the responses. I may just go flat black as gloss is an extra 100$-200$

Not quite yet... will probably pass on the bumper. It is just too damn expensive and getting a good price on it is impossible. Wherever I go seems like paint would cost me a good 200-350$ + bumper @ 600$ + shipping @ 200$ I give up!
I might as well move on to another reasonable mod
