If your lag in first does not go away, I would try setting it to default first and see how that works.

I should be getting mine tomorrow, so I'll report back on how it works for me. I'll probably stick with default setting on it first to see how it works out.
Yeah, I'm going to try that this morning. The only reason I set it a notch above the default is because I saw another post from someone who fine tuned it to that notch and found that one to be the best... but we shall see.

Hmmm... that is not good. I switched mine over to default this morning and drove about 14 miles to work with no problems. It didn't feel as strong, but we shall see. I will give it a couple days. What fuel do you run? How many miles are on your car? If I were you, I would contact Terry at BMS. Do you have the CAN tool?

Does the emission warning go away when you disconnect it?

Disconnect your battery.. wait a few hours.. reconnect it.. it should go away. But the dealer will still know it was on because it gets stored in your historic codes.

The jerking & shuddering is the ECU pulling timing. I'll bet you're getting a shit ton of knock retard.

You'd read the code and email it in for advice or to see if its related. What do you mean emissions warning?

That would be impossible. If I had to guess I'd say most likely it's a defective JB+ and not transmitting the MAF signal triggering the code. Reading the code will tell you for sure though. Also keep in mind the product is still in BETA testing.

It normally takes a few months for enough beta tester miles to get racked. I think they shoot for around a million customer driven miles. So don't hold your breath for it coming out of beta any time soon. But when beta ends they normally reevaluate the pricing as well so you may be saving a few bucks by helping with the testing.

So it was just a faulty JB+?? Is your car back to normal without the JB+ hooked up?

They just assume everyone drives 1000 miles per month. Makes the math easier.

I'm 500 miles in on the + (jb3 on map 6) and haven't had any codes. I'm at 65% right now on an otherwise stock car on 91oct.

when you say 65%, do you mean 2 full tick marks above default?

Yes, I do plan to dyno once I do a CAI and DP.... with the DP, I may have to do a full exhaust if it gets too raspy with the BMW Perf Exh. Then again, I may dyno beforehand... depends if I can find a decent shop with a dyno that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

Yeah, sorry... two full ticks above default of 50%... However... I must say, I've been on 75% for the past 2 days, and the car has "learned" the new setting and overall it feels pretty good. I dunno, so hard to decide. I think the settings are subjective until someone proves the differences with consistent dyno tests for various different settings.... The other thing I noticed today was that I'm reaching about 15-16 psi of boost at some points with the CAN tool fuel gauge hijack... however, I'm not sure how accurate this is.

Didn't someone said that JB+ (beta) must stay on 50%? It's just beta after all. Asking because I ordered one and want to be shure about it.
