Occasional start hesitation?

Greetings!

I just recently purchased a 2011 135i DCT. While the car has been pretty much everything I've expected, I have noticed a strange hesitation at startup on a rare occasion.

Cold starts and warm starts are no issue, but "lukewarm" starts are a bit rough. Basically, if i shut the car off, leave it for an hour or so and come back, it'll sound like the starter is struggling to spin and start the car. With that said, even though it sounds like it's struggling to start, it does turn over after 2-3 seconds and the car drives normal and has yet to not start. No codes and the car pulls strong. To note, the car just hit 70k miles, and the plugs were last changed at 35k per Carfax and the dealer records I obtained.

Anyone have any idea what would be causing it?

I've always thought my starter sounds like it's struggling. I think that might just be the way the power management in the car works; that behavior did not change when I replaced my battery recently.

My 2011 is similar with starting. Cold starts right up 1st turn. If its warm it will take 3-6 cranks to turn it over. Been like that since I got it (used). Asked the dealer when it was still under warranty and they said it was normal. Never had any codes or anything associated with it.

I have a 2011 with DCT and it starts up right away cold, lukewarm, or warm. For me, anything else wouldn't be normal.

OG here but I experience similar hesitation, like it skips a beat before firing up.

I had an '01 3-series that had an extreme case of this, and it needed repair. I was told it had something to do with the VANOS idle control setting.
