Well stay tuned guys. The amount of email traffic from non 1M owners interested in a colored ring of some sort is to big to ignore. Having sold 1/3 of the ONE of 740 orange rings in one day I feel I can consider another run for the 135 guys.

Would you guys be interested in something like the image below? Some text? No text(Plain)? What color? This would work for those in smaller 1M markets like Australia for example too? Just throwing the idea out there, to let you know there is love for the 135's from the 1M crowd too!

I vote for keeping the same color and text, just removing the ONE of 740. This would be good for the rest of the 1Ms from other markets.

Thanks for all the orders guys! Everyone that ordered this week will get their rings next week.

I will be shipping these out every Monday. I can't make it to the USPS office everyday, I'm sure you guys understand.

The model and the original are doing just fine!
How about yours?

Right now I've got a Z8 with me in the office parking garage. It's the only other car whose feel reminds me of the 1M. (BTW - I got a new toy recently. If you have any interest in riding in something that is pretty amazing, let me know.)

So ... what is up with this great weather we're having?
Hope you are well. I'm still waiting for you to take me up on my lunch offer.
And thanks again for the model.

Any chance of doing a run with OEM silver metallic?

I would love to buy one of the rings if you could do a run of raised letter, OEM metallic silver color.

Any chance of that, Metak?

BTW were you driving on Travis AFB the other day?

Well Metak, open a separate thread on the general formum to check whether there is sufficient interest of both non-US 1M owners and 135 owners, for producing a colored Start/Stop ring with merely "Limited Edition" or "LIMITED EDITION" engraved, or even nothing. As it's an inquiry gauging for interest (no 'For Sale' thread), I assume that Administrators will not bother posting it on the General Forum.

Thanks for all the orders guys. This first wave will ship out Monday! I hope you like them. Oh BTW, many are specifying raised matte or indented glossy, maybe you missed it in the OP, but I am shipping ALL 3 styles to you at no extra cost. You can decide which one you like the best and keep all three! The matte one does better in direct sunlight(less glared, less shine obviously) but the gloss one maybe has a deeper color because of the finish.

Thanks I appreciated. Some guys did exactly that, while other orders I did get hit with a PayPal fee. I wasn't going to even mention it or make a big deal or anything.

Well I do have a computer file(CAD) of the LIMITED EDITION ready to go. Just need a new mold($,$$$.00) and a color preference for the non-M owners(red, orange, whatever....) and I can make it happen. It will still be less than half what I paid for the OEM "LIMITED EDITION" ring and that's assuming you can even get one(I had a hard time tracking one down). We'll see if there is enough interest....

First wave of orders shipped out today!

There is only about half of the extra raised glossy and indented glossy(prototypes) left that I am including in the price of the raised matte version(final product) because the factory gave them to me heavily discounted. Once they are gone they are gone. I have had a few emails on a matte gray raised version too, if you guys are serious and want me to proceed with ordering a batch email me.

Thanks again for your patience, I hope you like the rings!

Nice work on the rings!

Have you had a chance to put together a DIY on how to replace the ring?

I'm curious what is involved.

Thanks!

I have been super busy, but tonight I will do a quick DIY and post tomorrow. It's pretty easy.

Maybe a 2 out of 5 difficulty.
Thank you!
