Any one received the Battery Cable fix recall yet?

They removed the glove box to take out the old and put in the new cable. Could very well be related

Got mine done 2 weeks ago, next day my headlight bulb went out called my dealer they said they wont cover it.

Hmm, I'm scheduled for the 19th, but I'll definitely keep my eyes on this thread. The car is working fine inside and out and I don't want any new problems caused by this "fix".

Fix.. i just received my stock headlight bulb today, Ive been running with my park lights for 2 weeks now, when i went to put on my headlights today they magically came on so i have a low beam headlight bulb that i dont need.

dang im scared now to bring my car in. what are the long term effects if i dont get this done? i have a jb4b too lazy to remove prolly just gonna bypass it. 08 135i

No coding right? just a hardware fix?

I took mine in today, they gave me a 2011 135i convertible with the M package for loaner.

Had the same thing happen to my right AE's. Got the warning on the iDrive, drove to the dealer and the light was back on. Haven't had a problem since.

Mine goes in Tuesday. Last time I got a 535 and hated to give it back. The one day turned into three and I enjoyed all of them.

Had mine done about two weeks ago, I noticed that they actually re-routed my jb4 usb cable through the hole where all the wires go into the car.

Haven't received anything in the mail yet, however i did get my oil changed 2 weeks ago and they put it on the receipt under "notes".

Is there anyway to take a look at this so called cable to see what condition it's actually in??

Looking at the cable connnection is a step in the TSB but it requires removing the fuse block which requires removing the glove box. So it wouldn't be easy or quick.

So what do you think about the 135i vert?

Mine is back in the shop again because they are fixing the creaking noise caused by the TSB repair and repainting the rear quarter after they did a hack job on a dent while it was in service. I have a 2013 528i loaner. The heads up display is pretty cool plus there are lights in the door panels that are cool too.

They look like this, would be cool if the 1 series had them

I just got mine done on Wednesday, and after getting it done ... the date/odometer/fuel mileage info gets wiped on starting the car everytime. The car is going BACK in on Tuesday to look into this.

I'm beginning to regret to get this done.

Will be scheduling to have mine done in the next week or two. I'll let everyone know if I have any issues that stem from this fix, and also what I get for a loaner.

OK, now I am hesistant getting this done. I do not recall reading threads about 1er losing electrical power abruptly.

Have not received notice yet. Slower in Canada?

The recall notice for my son's 2008 135i and our 2010 135i arrived this week.

so pretty much what I've seen from everyone's testimonials is that i should be receiving a loaner car when i drop mine off next week to get this done? Was thinking it'd be quick and I'd get to check out the toys at the dealership meanwhile i waited...
