From what I read, Maddad mids are more gutturally/raspier sounding than N55 mids. Beware of not getting a headache with Maddad mids due to 'drone' sounds during long trips. Personally I'm fine with my N55 mids - your BMW dealer can easily get this part for you (BMW OEM part# 18307599743).
