Fuel Prices

I don't really notice at the bowser what the price is per L for petrol, I just fill up and away I go. What I have been noticing is the cost of filling it up has dropped significiantly!

Given the fact the 1er is still averaging 13+L/100km it's all very very good timing!

Only 1500km on mine given how long it was out of action for.

But yeah, auto, driven mostly in DS with a heavy right foot

Ok... I was the same for about the first 4K km's....

Then started taking it easy...

Then the JB3 came along..... back to heavy right foot again..lol

Just telling Kris, how easy it is to loose the tail of the car when not paying too much attention...

Haha, so I see.

Looking forward to losing the back end in a controlled environment during the drift clinic next month! Will be good to see how the e-diff goes, then compare it to WAY's LSD.

e-diff is $h!+ in the wet! When it finally does it's thing, it kicks out the rear faster than you can catch it most times.....don't ask how I know

I use BP 98 and very similar in usage to Zuzu and Kris. On the open road I get down to about 8. I have 12500kms on the clock. With a bit of open road and city driving I get about 400kms before the reminder comes up.

This is OT ... but was shocked to get 10.5L/100km in a rental VE Commodore SV6 auto last week driven over 500km in Gold Coast/Brisbane/Sunshine Coast. I had it in Sport mode the whole time too, and wasn't sparing the horses. There was a fair bit of motorway cruising which probably explains the good result. Otherwise, the SV6 is a shit car. Noisy engine with nothing to back it up, tyre roar, control stalks are impossible to see, and A-pillar & rear visibility is crap.

As for the 135i, I'm pleased to be getting about 10.5-11.0 L/100km with only a few tanks gone in. The rev counter hasn't gone past 4500rpm (much) as I'm still to pass the magic 2000km mark.

Isn't it funny how we've been conditioned by the fuel companies to now regard $1.15 as "cheap." Twelve months ago we would have been outraged at $1.15!! Cunning bastards.........

Anything with a 98 on the pump! I'm getting 12.4l/100km average. But that is mainly city driving. Done 3500km's now.

Has anyone noticed a difference between Shell V-Power and BP Ultimate 98??

I filled up on V-power for $1.12/Lt today Wooooot was the cheapest tank i filled in a long time...Hope it comes down some more, speaking to my mates in US they are getting fuel for about 45c/Litre equivalent today i know we will never get that low but im sure there is room for more drops.
