Kay Segler and his Monte Carlo Blue 1M

A nice little video was created with Kay Segler talking about the 1M development and giving us a peek at his 1M in Monte Carlo blue with matching blue stitching (and his 1M polo shirt in the matching custom color as well

).

There are a few interesting things revealed or at least confirmed in the video.

We've known for awhile that there were 4 individual 1Ms built towards the end of the production run. You can see them all in this video on the floor at Leipzig.

2 in Monte Carlo Blue (One was Dr. Segler's car that he still owns, and the other surfaced for sale some years back)
1 in Java Green (the Green Mamba car built for Steffen Krebs and subsequently sold)
1 in Atacama Yellow that is in Singapore. (He simply refers to this one as "Gelb").

Also, there is a wild story about how they got a prototype car down to Ascari for the first press event just in time - I hadn't heard about that one.

Same here, I tried getting a blue one but they told me know. Even when I was in Germany with the car I visited Garching where they design the M cars and they had paint facilities there. I asked If I could leave my car behind and get it painted blue. They told me, the Prince of Bavaria recently asked us if we could make him a blue one and we told him no, so, no, we're not going to make you a blue one.
