Replacing headlight lens

I think it's worth the effort. Also replaced the projector with a blue coated clear lens.

I took a lense off one euro headlight, it was a huge pain and ended up with a small crack in the lense.
It is the most difficult part of the process. You have to be gentle but 10 minutes at 270, you can pry the lens off. Getting that old permaseal off is a huge PITA.

Super interested in more pics and tips/tricks to do the job. I have two lenses sitting in the garage but I was too worried I'd mess up my already decent LCI lights. Great work.

Thanks. Multiple people are interested in a youtube video on the process. I'll try and put one today. My editing (or lack there of) is horrible so I'll go ahead and caution everyone. lol.

I suggest you wrap the non faded lens with clear PPF vinyl to preserve them. I've wrapped two of my car's headlights with clear PPF vinyl and have not detected any hazing. One car sits outside 24/7/365.

Thanks for the tip! What PPF did you use?

I'm not sure. I think 3M. I went to a shop that does nothing but PPF and they did it for me.

Were you able to upload a Youtube video? I'm looking to do this mine to clean the inside of the lens.

Hey Blizzbone, not yet. I could upload the raw video but it would be long and some things rather boring. But could give it a shot.

How did you replace the projector lens? Do you have a link to the new one?

That's more involved. You will need a G5 projector that accepts a D1S bulb and you will need an adapter to the AFS. You can't just replace the stock lens.
