Cracked Breyton GTS-R Wheels
Hi All,
First time poster here. Just picked up a '08 BSM 135i a few weeks ago. It came with some aftermarket Breyton GTS-R wheels that looked amazing. They were incredibly light as well. However, upon further inspection, each of the wheels is cracked on the inner wall. The fronts actually had two cracks, rears had one each. It turns out that this is entirely too common. I went back to OEM wheels and now I am wondering what to do with the Bretyons. I have heard that you can repair the cracks, but seems like reliability is questionable and I'm not really wanting to spend ~$150 per wheel to repair. I guess I'm debating whether to scrap them or just throw them up on the for sale forum as a freebie (for someone who wants to repair and use as track wheels)? Any other ideas? Is there anyway to warranty them and get replacements? |

You can try and fix them using HTS-2000. I bought some and have used them to repair wheels in poor condition.

Turn them into a coffee table for the garage. ha. You could fix them and then sell them to someone and make a little bit of money.

If all four are cracked, you're going to end up spending $100-150 per wheel probably to fix them, and you might not get a return at all. Honestly, the coffee table idea isn't so bad! If they're in good condition otherwise, you can just clean them up really nicely and make something cool out of them.
