M-Sport debadged from factory?

I was showing off some photos of my Euro Delivery trip and my new AW 135i to a friend and we both noticed something curious......there is NO "135i" trunk badge on it. At first I thought - damn, someone stole it - but I looked at photos from inside the Welt and it is NOT there. I like the clean look so this is what I was going to do anyways, but I'm curious as to if this is how they come from the factory or if my badge was stolen or never put on! Check out the attached photos.

In europe you will see that a lot of german cars are not badged from the factory.

IDK why they do it. But it does look nice.

I wonder what else they forgot. All joking aside, a lot of companies have a 'delete' option for this. Maybe that box was checked on your order for some reason.

I saw a ton of 5-door unbadged 1ers when I was in Germany last week. In fact, the only badged 1ers I saw were a large number of 118i/d's and one 120d. But I would say only 25% or less were badged. I guess it doesn't really matter if you're going to get the same car as everyone else, or if you're not the type of person that's able to tell the difference between a 528 and a 550, but I always get excited when I'm behind a 335i or a fellow 135i. Then again, I saw more 1ers than 3ers, so the novelty just may not be there and it might not matter then.

Somewhat related, I did see one vert, but I couldn't tell if it was badged or not. The rest were all 5-doors, which disappointed me. It has more utility, I suppose, but it loses a lot of the sexiness I feel my coupe or a vert has.

I was going to PM you on bimmerfest and ask about your badge. Now that is super odd - same car, same delivery day, nearly the same options and no badge on mine! I'm going to ask my CA about it and see what she thinks.

We can definitely coordinate the Spartinburg trip. Unfortunately, my car doesn't even have a boat assigned after dropping it off 2 weeks ago! I've tried to call EH Harms USA and they don't return my calls. I was hoping to pick it up mid October but looks like it will be early November

Wow, i hope you make it soon, you will get your 2009 when 2010 came out.

Mine was drop off 4 weeks ago and now it just arrive to the port in NJ last friday. I figure 2 - 3 weeks at custom before going to VPC then another week to Spartinburg.. SC sucks

Must be an error. Mine came with a badge. Here is a pic of the car going down the glass elevator for some final detailing.

Yeah at the current rate, considering the customs stuff, looks like I'll be lucky to go down in November. I'll basically drive it home to park in the garage for 3-4 months

Did your 135i have its badge?

Yeah I love it I was just confused about why it wasn't there. I thought it may have been stolen in Germany or France....until I saw it wasn't there when it was at the Welt!

I have no doubt about you statement being the case... Almost 25% of 1ers are Alpine White.

Dunny nice car!
Yeah even though it certainly is the most common color as soon as I saw it at the welt (with my bad ass "2002" license plate!) I immediately said "I'm so glad I stuck with the white". I was going back and forth for a month on color choice before ordering it!
