Full of envy and jealously I supposed. I heard the metallic paints are softer.

Wow . . I still find it hard to believe the types of idiots that exist in this world . . that's when one might actually consider buying a hummer . . jks - never.

A while back, I was told that toothpaste - not the gel kind - but the white stuff, would do the trick . . now its been about 7 or 8 years since I heard that somewhere, and I would be super hesitant/cautious to do it on the metallic paint of such an expensive car. I don't necessarly suggest you go out and do it, but it just popped out from the back of my mind, and I thought Id share it. . .

Wishing you the best of luck,

andy, try going to a local shop, try detail shop first, then body shop. Don't go to dealership, they'll just rape you on the prices. Just find a random small business, I have a guy here that can do all sorts of repairs on the paint, and I live in a relatively small city. So I guess that you should have no problem to find one at your area.

Holy crap man, I would have never guessed that much damage would happen. I am glad I decided to park in the back yard via the RV gate until my house gets finished in two months and I have a garage again. The people around here have already blown up the mail box in front of my house. It was all over the news and the bomb squad was here all day. Immagine what they would do to my car!

That would really piss me off. I had someone key my 328 last year so I feel your pain. The thing that makes eggs so damaging is not that they are so "hard" but that their chemical make-up is so corrosive....like bird crap. Egg will literally eat the pain off your car. Take your car to a body shop like e90fanatic suggests....they might be able to take care of it for you.

I had someone egg my Integra a long time back one Halloween night. I had the exact same pattern of paint chips shown in these photos. I can't understand how an egg can do that to the paint. Really odd.

I would never own as nice a car as a BMW without having a garage to keep it in. I've learned my lesson.

Sorry about your car insurance should cover it. Get a car cover and a garage if available.
